Jammu and Kashmir was formed on 26th october 1947.
On october 31,2019 it was divided into two union territories one is J & K and another is Ladakh.
Official capital of the state is jammu in winters and srinagar in summers.
Total number of districts in the state are 28.
State animal is Hangul (Kashmir stag).
State bird is Black-Necked Crane.
State flower is Lotus.
State tree is Chinar.
Major crops are Paddy, fruits.saffron.apple,almonds,walnuts,cherries etc.
